This is the day in the life of a teacher turned stay at home mom and the craziness that is our family!

Two new crafts

Yesterday we made a tissue paper wreath and it actually took two days for her to do, the first day we rolled all of the tissue paper into balls and started the gluing process but she lost interest about half way through because there were so many so we just picked up and finished the next day!

To make the wreath take tissue paper and cut them into little 3x3 squares then you can roll them into balls or have your child help. Paint glue all the way around the wreath and have them go to town gluing them on. We did a mixture of red and green for the wreath and berries.

Today we made a color star. I gave her a yellow star and her bags of foam stickers, buttons, pompoms, gems, and sequins. I then told her to fill her yellow bowl with stuff that matched the star and then we were going to glue them onto it.

Once she got them separated and into her bowl she glued the little things on and I taught her how to dip the yellow balls in the regular glue to get them to stick better! Above is the end product!

Family wise we are doing pretty good. The princess has a little bit of the sniffles and I think I might too. So we have been just hanging out, but in the midst of just hanging out I completely forgot about her appt. for her second flu shot till about five minutes before we were supposed to be there. It is a good thing it is only two minutes away! We made it there right on time and she didn't even cry! Tomorrow we are doing our letter of the day and cutting pages so I will catch up on those!
